Savana Urban Spa (Spa)

Very uncomfortable facilities. I do not understand why I had to take off my shoes in the reception area!? Very bad first impression. I have been in spas that have changing rooms and private lockers for that purpose, and charge the same amount of money for a massage. This place looks like it's been done on a budget but thinks of itself as a high-end spa with prices to match. Come to think of it, I don't believe it's really a spa at all - a beauty salon more like, since spas are supposed to have at least one hydrotherapy such as bathtub, steam room or a pool.

Oh God, this place shouldn't be in the spa listing in the first place! It is perfect for a nice pedi and mani, maybe a muffin and a coffee (which you have to pay for, by the way), but not for facials or body treatments. I should be fair and say that their nail treatments are pretty good though. But there are no relaxation facilities or changing area.
There are pretty good spas in this area that charge just as much but offer much better value. Try Shymala for ayurvedic treatments and Adamina Day Spa for top facials - both in Holland Park as well.

I love this place! Such a gem - I could just live there. Attention to detail is amazing in terms of treatments and decor. Was there 2 weeks ago for their 'Girls just want to have fun' offer, and I should say that this is one of the few spas in central London that doesn't make you feel you are on a conveyor belt. First, they have the facilities such as relaxation room, steam and changing rooms, so you never feel crowded. Second, they don't charge you for any of those extras, including drinks!
TIP: Go 1 hour prior to your appointment, have hot chocolate while watching 'An Affair to Remember' or whatever old classic they are playing that day on the plasma screen in the relaxation area.

Great place! I am glad that the NY-style day spa concept is becoming more and more popular in London. So far BWW, Illuminata and Adamina Day Spa are my favourites. Top service and facilities.
