Sh! (Adult Shop)
14 December 2007
This shop is great. It sells really fab lingerie, sex toys, books, tons of bits and pieces that make perfect gifts. I used to live in Hoxton, so I'd quite often wander past here. The shop gals are super friendly, and always offer a cup of tea. No pervy blokes too, which is great. One of my favourite shops in London.
East Dulwich Deli (Delicatessen)

Ridiculously expensive, poor staff attitude. This seems to be a recurring theme of East Dulwich - it seems like quite a bad place to go shopping!
The Cheese Block (Cheese Shop)
14 December 2007
Amazing selection of cheese, plus delicatessen and tons of condiments. They also do fantastic ciabatta sandwiches - perfect to grab and go for lunch - and also a vegetarian roti which is delicious. I agree with the comments about the bad service. However, the punters keep on coming, so that shows the cheese must be good! (And yes, the whole area is overrun with smug marrieds with kids called Ophelia and Hamish but what can you do, eh? I wouldn't agree that Budgens has many delights for you and Peckham's a bit short on quality cheeses.)
Old Post Office Bakery (Baker)

Amazing bread. (I think if you order through Abel and Cole, the bread is from this shop.)
Sea Cow (Fish and Chips Shop / Fishmongers)
14 December 2007
This place really is quite overpriced, but that's what you'd expect for East Dulwich. There's not many places to eat here that aren't a rip-off for really rather mediocre food. You'd be better off trying a gastropub instead.
Paul Edmonds (Hair Salon / Salon)

Really nothing exceptional for the price. I got a spectacularly ordinary and run of the mill haircut and not much of a pampering experience at all. I found the staff quite dismissive.
