Pure heaven - highly recommend.

My facial was a complete waste of money. 75 mins of... well, very little. They do nothing that you probably aren't already doing in your daily skincare routine. Undoubtedly the most disappointing facial I have had in London. Avoid.

I was very worried about going to this spa as the reviews on the website were so bad, but I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. It was a wonderful experience. All the problems referred to in previous reviews have been solved and the whole place has been refurbished. I will definitely go back.

Awful. Building is falling apart. For the same price or less there are amazing spas a stone's throw away in Mayfair.

Please do not waste your hard earned money at this spa! I had a massage and facial, couldn't believe what a rip off it was and how inexperienced the therapist was. The bit that really got me was the hard sell at the end - you have to have these products for your skin - even when I said I wanted to finish the current range I'm using (Jurlique, she'd never heard of them) she kept on and on, to the point where she said you are taking the night cream then & I had to protest really strongly which is embarrassing. Everything was a disappointment, from the lukewarm tea on arrival to the disorganisation of the booking system.

I stumbled over this spa, as my usual one was fully booked. Great products, and the beauty therapist was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. My skin feels great! I look forward to going back after July's refurbishment.

Mixed feelings about this one. Staff are always pleasant, products lovely and treatments consistent. 2 major drawbacks though: only ONE toilet for all clients, and (probably due to it being the only one) the flush has always been broken when I have visited, hence it's a smelly room and totally detracts from the spa experience; secondly, the therapists really bully you into buying the recommended products (I actually already had the facial products my therapist recommended but she still seemed put out that I wasn't going to buy any more). Pay the therapists properly and they won't need to survive on commission...

Had the Rasul treatment and was very disappointed. Do not waste your money on this treatment!

I wondered why the therapist was smiling when she told us about the 'tropical rainstorm' part of this treatment. I thought I was going to be really pleasantly surprised by some lighting and sound effects and water coming from all directions.... I realised afterwards she was probably smiling to conceal her embarrassment at having to refer to it as such. The rainstorm is just a warm shower within the treatment room, and it made an unbearable noise as it started, like a dodgy old boiler firing up. As it washes off the clays that you have put on yourselves, the cloudy water makes a murky puddle in the bottom of your blue plastic seat.

The rest of the treatment and venue is so disappointing - a mouldy ceiling, the 'thrones' they describe are just big plastic moulded chairs. Quite a few things were broken or not well thought out. There is no toilet next to the treatment room; you have to go upstairs and it is a tiny little room with only space for one person at a time. They provide cheap and nasty deodorants and hair products, alongside their Elemis products, which looked really weird and felt unprofessional.

You'd be better off going to your local sauna and taking your own products with you. At least there it's likely to be hot and steamy and suitably priced. (In the Rasul the steam is only mild and the alcoves where the plastic thrones are - where you can sit down - don't even get much steam inside, so if you actually want to get the effect of the steam, you have to stand up... hardly relaxing!)

I've been using the Elemis Day Spa for the odd massage and body treatment for the last year, and I have recommended it to all my friends and family. The service is fantastic, the staff are friendly, attentive and listen to you (unlike at some spas!). Their Pro Collagen Marine Facial left my face looking about ten years younger... I only wish it were cheaper so I could go all the time!

I once went for a massage, which was a really great experience, but since then I've had two bad pedicures. The first bad experience was due to the beautician cutting too much of my nail down and the second because she wasn't paying much attention to what she was doing and ended up filing my ankle bone. The skin still hasn't grown back. I paid, but complained politely both times and on the second occasion asked to speak to the manager. I'm still waiting for a call back after many months. I won't be going back.

I went to the spa expecting a great treatment (facial and massage), given the reputation it has. I was very disappointed. The therapist's touch was that of a beginner just out of school, the massage truly unpleasant, and the facial used essential oils that burned my face. Furthermore, I'd hardly got up from the massage table before the therapist was trying to sell 3 jars of products to me, holding them in my face. I will not go back there. Reputation much too high versus service quality.

The treatments here are top notch! I have been twice and each time I never wanted it to end. I kept thinking "When am I going to be able to come here again?" I've had the pregnancy massage, which was incredible, and the Absolute Spa Ritual. Definitely going back. The therapists are very skilled and knowledegable. The only downside is that it is a very small spa, but I guess that makes it 'boutique'! Go, you'll love it!

I had been looking forward to my day at Elemis Spa - a birthday gift - for ages. I was disappointed. Had a colon fennel treatment and the tri-enzyme facial. Treatments were nice but I wasn't blown away. Treatment room very basic, nothing special like those at Calmia. Was told upon booking my appointment that treatment begins with a 10-15 min 'foot ceremony' but mine lasted for about a minute! I didn't feel pampered. However, the therapist was very friendly and knowledgeable.

As a beauty professional, I can thoroughly recommend this intimate spa. I had the 'Absolute Spa Ritual' (full body massage and facial). My therapist was brilliant. I left feeling totally de-stressed and uplifted. I received four compliments on my 'radiant' skin over the next two days. The treatments at Elemis are not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. This experience was more enjoyable than most other treatments I have had and certainly more effective. What a blissful way to spend an afternoon.

Lovely little spa, if you can call it that. I'm not sure you can, as it's really just a small building with half a dozen treatment rooms. That aside, the facial (Japanese Silk) was very good, the therapist informative, and no hard sell on the products. The staff were very attentive and the service excellent. I would say the facial was overpriced though, and I am not convinced by the 'day spa' label. Would you really be able to spend a day here?

It was expensive and alright. Great customer service but didn't come out floating on cloud nine like I had been expecting. Facial did not blow me away, but therapist gave sensible advice.

Too expensive for what it is. Believe me, I have tried many spas and this one is not worth going to.

Phenomenal. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the treatment was awesome. Wish they had a relaxation room other than the reception area, but maybe I missed it in my blissful fog!
