Have had great haircuts and blow-drys there. I particularly recommend Paul. Was VERY disappointed, however, by the colourist - hideous highlights which did not look natural at all and did not 'age' very well (very visible roots after only a few weeks). But definitely go for a haircut or blow-dry!

Nadia is absolutely brilliant for curly hair, especially if you let her do what she wants. I wouldn't trust anybody else with my locks and I always get a lot of comments on my haircut. Really, she's one of a kind.

The way they colour, everyone looks like a 45-year-old Stepford wife!

Booked in for a quick blow-dry, but was attended to by Martin, who persuaded me to have a shampoo and set. Well, ladies, he's certainly a dab hand with the rollers and tail comb, and in a matter of minutes I was reading Vogue under the dryer. He then returned to give me a lovely comb-out and finish. Got lots of compliments that evening. Give him a try.

Just called to book, having read these reviews, and was casually put 'on hold' for a couple of minutes. Charming!

Such an awful salon. I suggest going to Nicky Clarke if you want a decent haircut.

Over the years I've had my hair done by Trevor Sorbie, Charles Worthington and Adam Reed. When Adam left to set up Charles's New York salon I asked along the corridors of Conde Naste and one name kept coming up, Joel at John Frieda. I've never known such a fantastic hairdresser. He doesn't just cut your hair, he tunes into you. I can't recommend him highly enough if you want to have best hair cut that's also unique to you. And he's a truly delightful man.

I went to JF in Mayfair and I had my hair done by Giles. He is the most gorgeous guy I have ever met! I totally love him! His work was amazing. I will go back for sure. Thanks, Giles!

Had my long hair, which was all one length, cut by the Irish guy called Paul. A consultation first, then he started cutting and styling. Wow, my hair was stunning! I expected to pay a lot more than I was charged. I will make other appointments for every 6 weeks.

I went to see Andreas on a friend's recommendation. He started off with a consultation and completely got what I was after. I was quite nervous but he made me feel completely at ease. I came out with an amazing haircut which has lasted. He was funny, and I later found out that he does Claudia Schiffer's hair too! Amazing. Can't wait to go back.

My first haircut at this salon. Saw a stylist called Nadia. Great consultation and the best haircut EVER! Everybody very attentive and friendly. This is going to be my salon from now on!

I've been going to the salon on and off for 10 years. I always end up going back there. For colour the result is always classy, you feel pampered and relaxed and Jake is the best stylist ever!

I wanted to spoil myself and was prepared to pay but I felt that the price (£230) was certainly not worth the colour and cut.
My colourist was more interested in his upcoming holiday to Brazil. I opted for the 'Balliage' technique, which left my hair too yellow. He checked half heartedly at the end but didn't seem bothered.
The stylist was sweet but I felt it was strange that she brought in her own products. She was very apprehensive to cut a definitive style, so some weeks later I had to cut my fringe myself.
The salon provided some drinks and there was a lot of staff running around, which gave it a chaotic feel.

Darren is a great hairdresser, and easy to talk to. I asked him to do my boring hair like a model's do and I was thrilled with my new short haircut, though it was quite a change. The great cut was the crucial bit. Well worth it and great value too. Absolutely fantastic!

The same guy, Paul, styled my hair too and he was so nice. He styled my hair for free because he needed a hair model for his exam or something and he really did a good job.

HIghly recommended. I had my hair cut at the Mayfair salon by an Irish guy, goodlooking. His name was Paul. He really listened to me at our consultation and he had a few good ideas of his own. It's one of the best cuts I've ever had. It's not cheap but it's worth it. I will definitely be back.

Wow, what a fantastic salon! I went in on the off-chance, hoping to get a decent cut and colour. I experienced the most fabulous salon session ever! My stylist, Paul C., knew exactly what would look great with my hair, and I didn't need convincing. What a lovely guy. I'll be coming back for sure!
