Bloww reviews

Just fab! I looked at all the reviews on urbanpath and decided that there were many more good reviews than bad. I called up and booked an appointment. My stylist was called Susan. What an amazing experience. Great results at a great price and advice on how to manage my hair at home. Best salon I have been to ever. Thanks!

I love Bloww for its most welcoming atmosphere and its decor, which is so soothing for busy women. Wine, feta cheese and olives, double espressos - all are always free. Is this a British tradition in salons? I've always believed that finesse in a woman starts inside her head (inner and outer layers). For the last 7 years I have followed my stylist anywhere she goes, as she is the only one who really takes time for me and my hair. Thank you so much Canika!

I have been to Bloww twice. The first time I went for a cut and blow dry and it was great (the very dark, depressing decor didn't put me off). I was pleased with the hair cut, the stylist was great and I was only charged £55.

However, I recently went back for a cut and colour. I had the same guy cut my hair, which was fine, but I was charged £230. All I can say is, what a rip off! Not worth the money.

The worst cut ever! Who do they think they are with their overpriced cuts and colours? I'm just letting everyone know - don't bother going, it's a total waste of money and time!

Very good. My consultant took the time to actually look at the shape of my face and recommend a style (this has never happened to me before). Was very happy with the cut. Going back next week for my colour. They did charge me for my coffee though - is that normal in London salons?

Great experience from start to finish. Salon is bang on trend without being intimidating and all the staff were friendly and charming without exception. Matt is one of the best stylists in London, not only because he is great technically but because he really listens to what you want and considers your lifestyle and factors such as how often you can manage to get back for your next cut. Book an appointment with him and I promise you will come away feeling fabulous.

I was left very unhappy with my colour by a stylist who had obviously had a bad day and wanted to take it out on my head. Happy with my haircut, but will not be going back.

Overpriced and definitely overrated. Staff seem motivated by money and client turnover rather than perfecting the best cut. They obviously pay for their seat in the salon and get to use the washers and other facility staff in the package, as there is no union between the washers/assistants and the hair stylists, who stand around bored and disinterested (even caught one texting on their mobile phone). I was offered only one drink in the whole three hours I was there and was not offered a magazine once... in fact, I had to ask for one. At times my hairdresser worked on other clients, leaving me waiting. I'm sorry but, for a bill of over £120, I will not be going back! Be warned.

I have been a hairdresser for approx 16 years and I started going to Bloww 2 years ago. I think the staff are extremely welcoming, my hair cuts and colours are absolutely fabulous - both are done with great precision and lots of care and time spent - and for the first time ever I love having my own hair done. Thank you Paul and Debbie.

I really wouldn't go here again. They charged me £20 extra as a new client (i.e. on top of published prices) and after a £100 hair cut I wasn't left feeling any different. I asked for something that would change my even-length hair to something with a bit of style and personality, but instead Paul just put layers into the ends and shortened it by about 3 inches. Not very creative and therefore a disappointment - I could have gone anywhere for this sort of cut.

I have been the victim of several horrible haircuts but I have been lucky enough to find Bloww. I've been going there for almost two years and have had the best haircuts of my life there. Luke is amazing and does a great blow dry. They are the least snooty high-end salon in London, which is a plus. Not cheap but definitely worth it.

Terrible! The girl who washed my hair stank of cigarettes and her necklace or top kept touching my face. Also, they need to invest in seats with foot rests that go up like most other salons. Blow dry was awful, didn't last an hour!

Staff loiter around watching, doing nothing basically.

Won't be back.

Pay the money for the top sylists, as the rest are no different from you average hairdresser, lacking in imagination and conversation about anything other than themselves. Spot on management, greeting staff, design, and hairwash (so sensual it's worth the money alone) make it a worthwhile destination for a cool haircutting experience. But pay the money.

I went to Bloww recently for the first time and found all the staff extremely friendly and professional. After a thorough consultation with Paul I was made to feel completely at ease and received a fab new hairstyle. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone requiring excellent standards and service. Full marks also to reception staff!

I was recently treated to the Bloww ultimate indulgence package, which was a full day experience including treatments in the spa and hair salon. It was a great day and I found everyone in there really friendly and approachable. They couldn't have done any more to make me feel at ease. I have already booked myself back in to see my hairdresser before Christmas and may treat myself to a bit of pampering too!

They are all cowboys. Too expensive and too rude.

I went for the first time and totally enjoyed the experience. Normally I feel utterly intimidated in boutique salons but this was completely not the case here. All the guys behind reception were lovely. The best cut I have had in years, and also the best giggle for a while too. Plus the couple of glasses of wine went down a treat! The salon itself is very funky and spacious. It's pricey but definitely worth every penny.
