Third Space reviews
The disparaging comments levelled at the receptionists are unjustified.
If you took the time out of your busy life to chat to them, you would discover that these girls are intelligent, well-mannered and reasonable. They have to fend off an awful lot of rudeness and disrespect from certain members; and they have every right to stand up for themselves.

It's a good gym. Equipment is all Hammer Strength and Cibex - top machines! Shame about the trainers - most of them are not in shape and you can see they don't really want to be there and they just do it for the money. Receptionists are friendly and changing rooms are very clean. Unfortunately there's not much atmosphere when you train - it's more of a posing gym. However, it's very convenient for me cos it's only 1 min from where I live and work. If this gym had atmosphere it'd be a great gym, so I'll give it four stars.

I love being a member of Third Space and am amazed by some of the negative reviews. This gym is dramatically better than any of the competition in terms of what they offer and the quality of the staff who work there. There isn't another gym with facilities like this in central London. Sure, it's not bargain basement prices but what do you expect for the best in London?!

This gym looked great when I was shown around; however, that’s about as good as it gets! Overpriced, and after talking to some other members it seems everyone agrees. No atmosphere and extremely pretentious. I’m not usually one to complain, but a certain receptionist was extremely rude to me for no reason.

I have been a member of Third Space for almost 3 years now and am very proud to be a member! Yes, occasionally things go wrong - machines break, pipes break and (given London transport) yes, instructors can sometimes be late. But it is never without apology and understanding from the TS employees and they try their best to rectify problems to the best of their ability. I love the huge variety of classes and the range of resistance equipment they have, not to mention the hard-working receptionists who have to put up with extremely rude and snobbish clients on a daily basis!

This gym was once very good; however, it has steadily gone downhill. When you pay such a high membership fee you expect good facilities and good service. All the machines are now very old and many are out of order, the changing rooms are very dirty and I noticed mould in the showers. When I complained no one seemed to care. Such a shame.

I think Third Space is a class above the rest when it comes to trainers. I had my induction with Arthur and he was right on his game. I lost 4 dress sizes for my wedding in 4 months. I feel fantastic. I would recommend him to any bride-to-be for training. Thanks Arthur!

I've been a member for about 6 months and I have a love/hate relationship with Third Space. The facilities are great but, as other reviews have pointed out, many of them are frequently out of order - especially the showers. There's no excuse for this, particularly as the membership costs are high.
I've heard how the new management treat the staff, and quite frankly I understand why anyone pleasant would leave their employment there. The new management bullies the employees and that's why morale has slumped to such a low - which is tanglible when you're working out there. Sorry Third Space, you need to spread a little love rather than putting every bit of your energy into increasing membership numbers. You've missed the point. I won't be renewing my membership next time around.

Recently left after being a member for several years. You do have to give three months (from the first day of the month), so that can be almost four months to give notice. It is a good gym, with a pool which is rarely busy. It isn't perfect though - changing room area is small, 'sauna' is miniscule, staff a bit variable, and most of the clientele are up their own arses!

Check out Third Space - it's still the best in London by far. I would recommend trying to see Jez Wilcox (if you can get an appointment with him), he's first class!

The Third Space has shown me how great a gym can be! The equipment is great, the environment fab and the staff are exceptional and always willing to do all they can to help.

I recently joined the Third Space and am shocked by some of these reviews. Having been a member at several gyms across London, Third space is easily the best I have encountered. The facilities are fantastic, the staff friendly and the new air con on the cardio floor a great addition. A great example of a gym actually listening to its members!

I have cancelled my extortionate membership today. The final straw was the swarm of flies outside the studio on Saturday due to overflowing wheelie bins, but there are many other reasons. Cold showers, towels with holes in, smelly yoga mats and not enough of them, the ongoing problem of instructors turning up late for classes and, on occasion, losing their temper, overflowing sanitary bins (YUK!)... Need I go on?? My advice is don't bother!

I thought the Third Space was very good when I first joined. However, after a couple of weeks and after friends of mine telling me about Gymbox and its classes, I realised that it is massively overpriced and run down.

These comments are very unjustified. The gym is great. Fab equipment and lovely staff. All the instructors are first class and they even do a complimentary weight loss programme (free nutritionist and training).

What a first class dump. Dirty locker rooms, poor layout, equipment not maintained - if this is London's best, it is a joke.

No lockers available, no hot water in showers, too busy to use machines/get in changing room. This experienced not once but daily for a week. Still make you pay though. Really not recommended.

The gym is great but the staff are poor. Pretty annoyed this month as they forgot (!) to debit my membership money from my account, so now I have to pay double next month. The receptionist even tried to blame me for not telling them!

I love this club. I've lost 2 stone since I joined. They've given me free training, gyrotonics and nutrition advice on their weight loss programme. The trainers are all really friendly and I've made some good mates to work out with. I used to train at Gym Box but I'd never go back now.
